Was going to post something exactly on these lines. Which will paper over a few cracks, take the heat off a bit, until the next time. I can see a win, just as long as Dundee are as weak as Killie were in midfield - if they do as well in that department as most other league visitors to Ibrox this term, it could be a slog.

Burnley unloading all their cast-offs on us now?
-
MW has already shown that he's no Brian Clough, in terms of identifying rejects & turning them into European Cup winners. If this is to be the way forward, we're in for a lot more of the same.

2 hours work a week is about right for him....

The Motherwell goal was 4 months ago - an eternity if football!

Our defensive capability is shite. As is our attacking capability. Now, we're not exactly looking for someone who can sort both problems out, but if they could do it at one end, that would probably do, for the time being.

Bout time that shower were exposed. I spend a lot of time doing 'missionary work' down here & I need this lot like a hole in the head! Oh, and we'll swap the 'minority' shite for majority when it comes to the National Anthem. Disrespectful as fuck & I'm sure they'd have been clattered (literally) at other venues for a similar performance.

Can't agree - they had 3 headers on target & they all went in. Sterling's sitter from under the bar was about it for the rest of their threat. If Shooders & Snodgrass had been 'all that', Scotland would have had 2, at least. Oh, if Hanley had been any good at all, England would have had one fewer, while Scotland would have scored at least one. Can't disagree that they did the bits that mattered, but it really was 'small margins'.

Can't be far away....

Puts it in perspective when the Micks got a great result in Austria tonight (albeit courtesy of a clear foul in the build up, but this IS M O'Neill's team), from a game where they were on the back foot for all of the 55 mins I watched.
-
They did better than that - 3 goals from 3 shots on target, in a game that was, on the whole, fairly even, leading to headlines down here 'Scotland crushed!' Taking the piss, a bit!

Some idiot called Ben Rumsby giving man for man marks in The Telegraph today. Mentions Shooders dragging wide attempting to finish the 'best move of the match'. Snodgrass 'unlucky not to equalise moments before England's second'. Of Wallace 'Hard to recall him even touching the ball going forward'. Conveniently neglecting that both the two chances he's picked as highlights were set up by.... Wallace! To think the bugger's got paid for failing to pay attention & writing shit like that! At least Jason Burt gave him due credit in the actual match report.

Starting to care a damn sight less than I used to. Was rooting for Waldo though & he did pretty well, in the main.

Really is shocking, how far things have fallen & this is another opportunity, not just missed, but pissed away before it had any chance to get going. A real chance of a win tonight, not on paper, but how it unfolded. Who the fuck thought John Stones was a defender & Cahill is not much better. They just took their chances better. Bit like watching a team we all know....

Glad I never signed the cheque for £50m for that wee waster!
